Dr. Laurinda Morris - VeterinaDr. Laurinda Morris, Veterinarianrian — Dr. Laurinda Morris is a 2001 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has owned The Animal Care Center since 2008. A resident of the Pataskala-Granville area for more than 25 years, she has always had a love \for animals. Graduating from showing Arabian horses to showing dogs, her personal pets hold American Kennel Club titles in conformation, obedience, field, tracking and agility. As a certified dog trainer, her pets have appeared on numerous television shows, worked in schools, nursing homes, hospitals and even starred in a CatCo production. She now focuses her free time in showing her Friesian horses in dressage. She is committed to furthering the human/animal bond as well as all aspects of preventative medicine. She has special interests in animal nutrition, behavior, dentistry and alternative medicine. 

 

 

Brittany - Practice Manager — Brittany has been a valued member of our team since December 2004. She began her career as a kennel technician and, through dedication and hard work, advanced to head receptionist before ultimately becoming our Practice Manager. In addition to her leadership role, Brittany is a skilled veterinary assistant and also manages after-hour emergency calls. Outside of work, Brittany’s greatest joy is her family. She and her boyfriend, Jay together since 2013 share two wonderful children: Blake, born in 2009, and Delilah, born in 2019. Their household is full of furry companions, including Odin, a flat-coated retriever mix; Pearl, a retriever mix; and four cats—Monkey the ragdoll, Ellie-May the tuxedo, Leo the Mainecoon mix, and Mittens the tabby. Adding to the mix are fish and a red-eared slider turtle, making their home a lively menagerie. In her free time, Brittany enjoys reading, crafting, and tackling home improvement projects, all while spending quality time with Jay and their family.

 

 

 

 KatieVeterinary Assistant — Katie has been part of our team since the spring of 2023, bringing with her a strong background in animal care. After moving from the Akron area to Granville in 2020, she quickly became an integral member of our clinic. Katie wears many hats here, working as a veterinary assistant, kennel attendant, and lending a hand at the front desk as receptionist. At home, she has a lively household that includes six cats— Newt, Marvel, Khloe, Mia, Leo, and Chonk; and Axl Rose, her aquatic axolotl. In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time with her pets, exploring the outdoors, and savoring a good cup of coffee!

 

 



 

LexiVeterinary Assistant — Lexi joined our team in the fall of 2025, bringing with her valuable experience as a veterinary assistant and kennel worker. Originally from Alabama, she made the move to Ohio in the spring of 2024 and quickly became a proud Buckeyes fan. In May 2025, Lexi married her husband, Dakota McKenzie. Together, they share their home with four pets: Ally, a lively chihuahua; Zeppelin, a devoted doberman; Gary, a curious domestic shorthair cat; and Draco, their leopard gecko. When she’s not at work, Lexi enjoys reading, sewing, and taking her dogs on walks.

SamanthaReceptionist —  Samantha joined our team in March 2023, bringing with her a passion for exploring new opportunities and expanding her skills in animal care. Outside of work, she enjoys expressing her creativity through painting and crafting. Samantha also loves spending time with her husband, Travis—they purchased their first home together in July 2025 and celebrated their marriage that October. At home, she delights in spoiling their energetic four-year-old shepherd mix, Hank.

Vicky - Kennel Technician — Vicky grew up in Granville and graduated from the Granville school system.  She has been in the animal industry for more than 45 years.  She has three adult daughters and four grandchildren.  She shares her home with two cats.  She loves her job and pays strict attention to the care of our boarding pets.  Her love of all animals shines through in her attention to her charges at The Animal Care Center.

 

 


 

 

 

 Amanda - Kennel Technician —  Amanda has been an animal lover since childhood, she came to The Animal Care Center at Granville in July 2021 to work closely with animals. She is a mom of three children, two dogs, four cats, two snakes, and a Pac Man frog. She enjoys working in the kennels and is always taking care of the patients as if they are her own. In Amanda’s free time she enjoys reading, hiking with her dogs, and watching movies with her family.
