Dr. Laurinda Morris - VeterinaDr. Laurinda Morris, Veterinarianrian — Dr. Laurinda Morris is a 2001 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has owned The Animal Care Center since 2008. A resident of the Pataskala-Granville area for more than 25 years, she has always had a love for animals. Graduating from showing Arabian horses to showing dogs, her personal pets hold American Kennel Club titles in conformation, obedience, field, tracking and agility. As a certified dog trainer, her pets have appeared on numerous television shows, worked in schools, nursing homes, hospitals and even starred in a CatCo production. She now focuses her free time in showing her Friesian horses in dressage. She is committed to furthering the human/animal bond as well as all aspects of preventative medicine. She has special interests in animal nutrition, behavior, dentistry and alternative medicine.

 

 

Brittany - Practice Manager — Brittany has been a part of our team since December 2004. She started her career as a kennel technician and has progressed over the years to head receptionist then finally Practice Manager.  She is also a very capable veterinary assistant and handles the after hour emergency calls. She has one wonderful son named Blake who was born in 2009, and one beautiful daughter named Delilah who was born in 2019. Brittany also has a house full of “fur-babies” Odin a Flat coat retriever mix, Pearl a retrevier mix and three felines; Monkey the ragdoll, Ellie-May a tuxedo and Leo a Mainecoon mix. On the non traditional scale of animals her family has backyard chickens, a red eared slider turtle  She loves to tending to her plants both indoor and outdoor, reading, and spending time with her boyfriend Jay whom shes been with since 2013.

 


 

Sydney - Lead Veterinary Assistant  — Sydney joined our team in September, 2019, initially as a receptionist.  She has expanded her skill set to assisting with both appointments and surgery.  She studied Animal Science at The Ohio State University, and has always had a passion for animals….knowing at a young age that she wanted to work with them as her career path in life.  Since joining the team, Sydney says that everyone here has made it such a wonderful place to work, help animals and practice excellent medicine.  She has three fur babies:  a 14 year old tuxi cat Manny, a 6 year old black kitty Binx, and her youngest, a year old Standard poodle named Isabelle.  She enjoys traveling and playing softball in her free time with her boyfriend of five years, Joey.

Margaret  - Receptionist  — Margaret first came to The Animal Care Center as a client with her white boxer, Sienna.  When Sienna lost her battle with cancer in late 2017, Dr. Morris asked Margaret and her husband Tony if they would like to adopt a boxer named Jenny that she had recently rescued and nursed back to health.  They took Jenny (pictured on the right) home in December, 2017, and added Copper (pictured on the left) in April, 2018.  Copper was also rescued and returned to health by Dr. Morris.  Margaret has always loved animals and was very excited when an opportunity came available in September, 2019 to join the team at ACCAG.  Margaret also works with Tony as the office manager/legal assistant at his law firm.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, golfing, working in the yard and walking her pups.  She also has two adult children, three grandchildren, two granddogs and a grandbunny. 

 

 

 



Sharilee - Receptionist — Sharilee came to us in November 2021 and is one of the front desk receptionists. Sharilee studied Business Office Technology at Penta Career Center in Perrysburg, OH before moving to southern OH in 2008 with her husband. Over the years she    as had several different interests and jobs from Cosmetology, Automotive and now Animal Care. Sharilee has always loved the office    atmosphere but getting to be around the animals all day is a plus. Sharilee spends her time at home with her husband Joe, 4 children (2     boys & 2 girls), 2 dogs and 4 cats. When not working at the clinic Sharilee coaches Freshmen and Middle School cheerleading for Newark   City Schools. While working at the clinic is a new adventure for her, she says coming to work doesn’t feel like a job. Sharilee enjoys the staff   at the clinic and says from the minute you walk in the door you feel like family.

Vicky - Morning Kennel Technician — Vicky grew up in Granville and graduated from the Granville school system.  She has been in the animal industry for more than 45 years.  She has three adult daughters and four grandchildren.  She shares her home with two cats.  She loves her job and pays strict attention to the care of our boarding pets.  Her love of all animals shines through in her attention to her charges at The Animal Care Center.

Christine - Weekend Veterinary Assistant — Christine is one of our former receptionists who loves the clinic and the patients so much that she often does assisting for us on Saturday mornings. She adopted our previous Maine Coon clinic cat “Bubby” who now is king of her castle. Christine is a very accomplished equestrian and shows dressage and gives lessons in her spare time.
