Dr. Laurinda Morris - VeterinaDr. Laurinda Morris, Veterinarianrian — Dr. Laurinda Morris is a 2001 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has owned The Animal Care Center since 2008. A resident of the Pataskala-Granville area for more than 25 years, she has always had a love for animals. Graduating from showing Arabian horses to showing dogs, her personal pets hold American Kennel Club titles in conformation, obedience, field, tracking and agility. As a certified dog trainer, her pets have appeared on numerous television shows, worked in schools, nursing homes, hospitals and even starred in a CatCo production. She now focuses her free time in showing her Friesian horses in dressage. She is committed to furthering the human/animal bond as well as all aspects of preventative medicine. She has special interests in animal nutrition, behavior, dentistry and alternative medicine.


Dr. Will Sorter - Veterinarian — Dr. Will Sorter is a 2017 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been working at The Animal Care Center at Granville since May of this year. A resident of the Columbus, Ohio area for more than 10 years, he graduated with a degree in Animal Science from The Ohio State University, followed by acquiring his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Ohio State as well. While obtaining his undergraduate degree, he worked with quail in research designed to examine muscle wasting diseases in animals and humans. He was also involved as a teaching assistant for animal science classes designed to teach small animal biology and anatomy. While in veterinary school he became interested in small animal orthopedic surgery, behavior and dentistry. He particularly enjoys working to further veterinary-client relationships in taking extra time to communicate with clients during visits and maintaining an open dialogue with owners while treating their beloved pets. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing frisbee with his dog Buddy, and going on long bike rides with his girlfriend.


Kristen - Office Manager/Head Technician — Kristen has been in the veterinary field for over 12 years. She joined the team at The Animal Care Center in 2008 and is the office manager and the head veterinary technician. She is married, has four children and two beautiful grandchildren. She has four dogs and an Arabian horse. In her free time she enjoys campfires and horseback riding as well as spending time with her family.



Brittany - Head Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant — Brittany has been a part of our team since 2004. She started her career as a kennel technician and has progressed over the years to the position of head receptionist.  She is also a very capable veterinary assistant and handles the after hour emergency calls.  She can wear many hats in the office and is the manager of the kennel facility, as well as being invaluable as the IT person. She has one wonderful son named Blake who was born in 2009. Brittany also has 5 “fur-babies”  Lilly the Labrador, Odin the Flat coat retriever mix, and three felines Monkey, Ellie-May, and Brody. She is an avid outdoors lover in her spare time.



Jennie - Receptionist — Jennie took a leap of faith and left her job of 17 years in the insurance industry to join our team. She fits in naturally as a Receptionist and is learning the veterinary field quickly. She and her Husband reside in Hebron with their children and share their hearts with Mastiff "Hank" and their kitty "Tigger". Jennie enjoy fishing and camping in her free times away from the office.





Vicky - Morning Kennel Technician — Vicky grew up in Granville and graduated from the Granville school system.  She has been in the animal industry for more than 45 years.  She has three adult daughters and four grandchildren.  She shares her home with two cats.  She loves her job and pays strict attention to the care of our boarding pets.  Her love of all animals shines through in her attention to her charges at The Animal Care Center.





Phil - Kennel Technician — Phil was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming and moved to Ohio in 1994. He has raised many kinds of animals in his life, including mice, guinea pigs, cats, fish, pheasants, chickens, turkeys, dogs and snakes. He achieved Eagle Scout honors at age 17. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, and camping. The dog in his photo is Sadie, who he has had for 7 of her 9 years. She is a “Daddy’s Girl” and he loves her dearly.

Christine - Weekend Veterinary Assistant — Christine is one of our former receptionists who loves the clinic and the patients so much that she often does assisting for us on Saturday mornings. She adopted our previous Maine Coon clinic cat “Bubby” who now is king of her castle. Christine is a very accomplished equestrian and shows dressage and gives lessons in her spare time.
